SEO Tips

And here are the SEO tips for you.

☑️ #1: Google: Billions Of Redirects Are Fine But Site Moves Do Impact Rankings

Someone is looking to move to a new CMS where the site has 20,000 products on the front-end of the website. When the site switches to a new CMS, it sounds like the URLs will need to change. He asked if he could redirect 20,000 URLs. The answer is yes, he should do that, if he cannot keep those URLs the same. And yes, that process should be automated. By Barry Schwartz.

☑️ #2: Google: Crawl Spikes Aren’t Global, Normally Noticed On A “Per Site Vibe”

Crawl fluctuations and spikes are not normally a global thing but more on a site-by-site basis. Plus, John Mueller of Google said that the URL parameter tool going offline likely would not result in any spikes in crawling. By Barry Schwartz.
