#1: Have Content Load First For JavaScript Heavy Sites Says Google

Gary Illyes from Google posted a PSA (public service announcement) of sorts on Mastodon and LinkedIn for sites that are heavy with JavaScript. He said that you should try to load the content, including the “marginal boilerplate” content, first when you have a JavaScript-heavy site. Read more.

#2: Google: If Your Most Important Page Is Terrible, Then That Is Not Good For SEO

Google’s John Mueller said it is a big deal if your most important page or pages are terrible but not such a big deal if your less important pages are terrible. So if your home page is terrible, that is really not good. Read more.

#3: Google Answers If Splitting A Long Article Could Result In Thin Content

Google’s Lizzi Sassman answers whether splitting a long article into multiple interlinked pages results in thin content. Read more.

#4: Google: URLs Don’t Have To Be In The Same Language As Content Of The Page

In 2015, Google said, “It is better if you have your URLs in the same language as your content.” In 2022, Google said, “From an SEO point of view, there’s no negative effect, if the URL is in a different language than the page content.” Read more.
